Santa Train
On Saturday we went on the Santa Train, in Boulder City. Santa and Mrs Claus were on board. They stopped to talk to the kids, and take pictures. The conductors were the elves, they stayed and talked with the boys. There wasn't much of a view, but we still had a good time. (sorry Russell's head is missing in one of the photos. I have now learned you can't put tall pictures in slideshows.)

Thanksgiving.....
Thanksgiving this year my sisters Denise and Jeni were kind enough to host. We had Dinner at a church in Spanish Fork. It was great to have so many of us there (37 I think was the count) and plus the weather was perfect. We spent the day eating, playing volleyball, snacking, playing cards and games, had some pie, and played some more. Had the camera, but of course never took pictures. On Black Friday, didn't spend a dime! Stayed and played at Denise's for the day, games, puzzles, and hair. It was nice to not feel rushed in the stores. Don't worry we did our part to help the economy on Sat. We went shopping, to lunch, and to Boondocks.

Lake Tahoe
This last week we went on vacation and headed to Reno. The drive up was dark and long. The next morning, halloween, we went to see Lake Tahoe. It was beautiful! The wind kept a nice chill in the air.

We went to a Halloween Hoedown this past weekend. I haven't had a chance to post the pictures, they will follow. Our stake was in charge of it. There were booths for the kids to win prizes, a hay ride, and food. The kids had a good time. Russell and I were ready to go, 80 degrees standing in the sun. The things we do for our kids.

father and sons campout
Russell, Preston and Colin went on the ward father and sons campout this past weekend. They all had a good time, with the winds and chilly weather.
Preston had a fun time swimming, burning sticks in the fire, and catching guppies with his friends. Preston and Bro Robertson keeping the fire going.

Colin played tag around the tents, swam, and roasted marshmellows. Colin and his friends Jayden by the tent. Samdler and Colin in the pool.
Russell has been in to biking. He has been biking from our house, along a trail to the Wetlands Park. Russell has also made it from there in to Lake Las Vegas. On one of his rides he found a places that crosses over the wash so he can get to Lake Mead and circle back down Boulder Hwy. I can't wait to go with him one time!

I had the opportunity to be called to jury duty yesterday. I was scared when I got the letter, and feared the dates arrival. All the worst cases I could think of popped in my head, I think that I have read to many of Jonh Grishams books. I pictured myself sitting for months and months listening to hours of witnesses and lawyers, horrible crime scene photos, and someone that smelled terrible next to me. Lucky for me it wasn't like that at all. I arrived at the court house and made it through security, found the room and an empty chair, and read for several hours. My number was called, and fear was back. When I was seated in the courtroom, it reminded me of a movie set. The judge then asked a few questions, and excused himself and the counselors (sounds like the movies too, doesn't it?). While I sat there waiting for their return, I thought I could do this. The judge then called up some people for more direct questions, it was interesting to listen , but my thought then changed to I don't really want to do this. Five o'clock finally got there and I was released. It was a long day, but I'm done with it for 2 years now! whoo hoo!

I am still doing boot camp. This is from an extreme challenge that we had at Lake Mead. In this part of the challenge we had to run up the current to the next station. The water was about knee deep, but had some mud holes also. I hurt my knee the day before the challenge so I ended up just helping direct people, since I couldn't run. :(
Are you suposed to play hide and seek in the camo dept at Bass Pro Shop?

The Boys

I know this picture has been seen before but I think it is just awesome. Preston is now in 4th grade and is really doing well. Colin just started kindergarten and is enjoying it. We took a season off of sports, all though Colin is doing Shotokan karate. I have been riding my mt bike like crazy and Marlo is in Boot Camp las vegas and is getting in really good shape. We are planning a trip to go and see our cousins Greg and Carrie up in Reno. They have been talking about doing some pretty fun stuff and we are very excited. Other then that not much else going on here.
